I was looking forward to buying our first house, until the bank told us how much we could afford. I wanted a home that I could just move into and not have to do any work. When we told our realtor, how much we were pre approved for, she told us that we should plan on buying something that needed a little work.

We looked at tons of homes, some that needed too much work. I called a roofing company to see how much it would cost to replace the roof on one of the houses that I kind of liked. I figured that if we could get the house for a lower price, we could do the roof.

I then found out that there was fire damage repair that needed to be done in the basement also. So, we offered a very low amount and got the house with the roofing company getting paid at closing from the current owner. When we told them that we could not afford to pay for the roof and the fire damage repair, they offered to pay for the roof.

In the end, everyone got what they wanted and we bought our first home.

I was walking the other morning and noticed a new store in town. It said something about them having over a hundred funny t shirt designs or something. It was a picture of her at Halloween with her Hannah Montana costume. It made me laugh out loud.
