My four managers of my stores have all gotten together to request new point of sale systems. I think that we replaced them about five years ago and it cost me a pretty penny then, I cannot imagine doing all four stores again so soon. I set up a meeting for my managers for later in the week to discuss possibly buying some used pos equipment that is practically brand new or at least getting just a few new things and the rest of them could be used point of sale equipment from the company that my secretary found when she was searching for a company to get prices from them so we could estimate what it would cost for all four new systems.
I think that if the managers are told that they can take the used pos equipment, they can have it very soon or wait for three more years for brand new pos equipment, they will see my point of view. I do not mind meeting them half way, as long as they do the same. In fact, they will be able to get more used point of sale equipment than if they wait the three years for the new stuff because of the big savings on the products from the site my secretary found.

My friends are thinking of opening up a computer store that sells used servers. We have always all been interested in computers and we could fix anything wrong with any server, hard drive or any other piece of equipment that goes with them.
They got the idea to go with the used servers from a website that does exactly the same kind of thing. They take old used servers, refurbish them with new parts and then resell them for a really good profit. Since most people will practically give away the old non working servers that they have, you can get the used servers for pennies on the dollar.
I recently found a computer repair man who had a warehouse full of used poweredge servers and told me that if I could fix them and I wanted them, that he would make me a really good deal. I am not sure if we want all used poweredge servers but they would be a good start and we could do some online business with them too.
The online markets are really where it is at, but until we get a handle on some of the other things that go along with owning a business, we will have to start slowly and work our way up to that.

While looking for a new desktop one day, I found a company online that sells used hp servers at really rock bottom prices. They take older hp servers and completely refurbish them which bring them back to the original state of when it was new. Of course it may have some newer or replacement parts in it but it should run just like it was right out of the box.
I ordered two used proliant servers for our office since I knew that the money was there and the ones we currently had were starting to give us trouble every now and again. I would just have our computer team come in over the weekend and switch everything over to the used proliant servers and no one would ever know the difference unless they suspected that our servers were running more efficient.
I set up the installation weekend to be at the end of the month when most of the employees would take off early to begin the upcoming holidays. My computer team was well aware that the used hp servers would be in soon and they had rearranged their schedules for the month to accommodate the extra weekend work they would be doing.

My best friend has started her own online business. She sells cleaning products to offices, school, and everyday homeowners at a fraction of the price that they would pay at their local stores. I set up a recurring order with her and have been super pleased with the whole thing. I always have my cleaning products on hand and when they are getting low, my new shipment is there within a few days.
I mentioned my friends business to a buddy of mine who works for the local schools. He told me that they are always looking to save some money on their janitorial supplies, so he would check it out and compare her prices to the ones that they were paying currently.
I called my friend to give her the good news and she thanked me for passing along her companies name and site. She knows that it will take time to grow the business but she also knows that she has good products and great prices and eventually the rest of the world who needs janitorial supplies will too.
I just hope that the guy from the school calls her to set up an account. I think that an account that big will do wonders for her business. If she can start advertising some of the people she works with then others will be more apt to give her a try.

I may be able to find some other discount office furniture stores online, but I really like the company that I have been using since I first opened up my business ten years ago. They may not be the lowest priced company but they have the best quality of furniture that I have ever seen. Many of my colleagues ask me where I get my office furniture and I always tell them that I use the same office supply company that they do and they also sell discount office furniture.
Most of them are surprised, since they usually have someone else in their office who handles all the ordering of the office furniture and the office supply needs, they would not even know that. I told them to start getting the bills out that they are paying and look into what they are paying for their furniture and what the office supply store is charging for some better pieces and see if they want to have their ordering people start to use them for both.
I have a feeling that by the end of the month many of my colleagues will be using the office supply company for their discount office furniture needs. It is amazing how many of them never see the prices of the things that they buy, they just pay the bills.

My Dad is an insurance agent so I get to hear about life insurance, no medical life insurance, guaranteed life insurance, and so on every night at the dinner table. I know that sounds exciting but let me tell you honestly it really is not that bad.
Life insurance is hard to understand and for most, is a very confusing topic. Well whenever it comes up in conversation I am able to understand it and explain it to people because I have learned all about by default around the dinner table. That makes me feel good to help others and maybe that is why my Dad became an insurance agent to begin with.
I always tell folks that my Dad can get them a life insurance quote if they want to see what he can do for them. I have actually referred a few people to my Dad that are still clients of his today. As weird as it may sound, telling them to get a life insurance quote from him is not that strange.
People request life insurance quotes all the time on the Internet so I figure my Dad can do the same in a face to face meeting. He is a good salesman so even thought he is not always the cheapest he can sell himself and his great customer service.

I had four different reputation specialists calling me when the picture of me being arrested was released. I knew that I needed to pick the best company, but had no way of checking them out from where I was at. I had my manager do some investigative work and hire the one that he thought would be the best for the job.

I was glad to find a company that will allow you to send in your used cisco products to fix them and then they send you a replacement to use while it is being fixed. The order is actually better than what it sounds. A person who needs a cisco repair job, calls the company to request a backup and then as soon as you receive the backup, you send off your faulty product.
Usually they have your original used cisco product all fixed up and back to you in less than three days and that includes shipping time. If they cannot fix the product that you have sent them they give you the option to purchase the backup they have already sent you so that you will not have any more time down than you have already had.
The first time that I heard of this used cisco repair company and the way they worked I thought it was genius. I am thinking that probably most of the time they cannot repair the client’s part; they make a sale anyway since most people do not want to have to send the used cisco product back to the repair store. They just wanted to be able to use their computers and have no down time in the first place.
